Throw Back Thursday

Throw Back Thursday

One of the sweetest things that ever happened to our family was the birth of our daughter. Her biggest brother had prayed for a sister for two years. Her big brother spent hours cuddling with me in bed talking to my tummy while she grew. When she was born and the boys came to the hospital biggest brother was five and big brother was three. I had her in her hospital bassinet when they got there so they wouldn’t feel any jealousy that comes with seeing mom holding a new baby. They walked in and my three year old whispered, “Is she here? Is our baby sister here yet?” And then they both peeked into her bed and starting admiring her little “mingers” and her fuzzy hair. Her pink cheeks and her little squeaks. She has added so much to their lives. She loves them so much. I hope as they get older they can see how much the three of them need each other.

  1. Thanks for sharing this little memory. Very sweet.

When Ginny met Pippin in the hospital she was only 17 months old, and really didn’t show much interest in him. Now that he’s almost 2, she’s starting to see the value in a little brother, even if he has figured out how to pull her hair. πŸ™‚
